At Hillside, we ensure all the children's needs and abilities are carefully planned for, and in the older years, striving to develop many young leaders sport within school. Our PE curriculum of progressive skills ensures children have the opportunities to develop across many different areas of sport. Every child in school has access to 2 hours of curriculum PE in a week and in addition to this, we are very fortunate to be able to provide extra-curricular within our Enrichment afternoons on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

In December 2015, the Government announced the continuation of the investment in Primary PE and Sport Premium. The provision is to be able to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport within schools. It is also demonstrates the importance placed on PE & school sport by Government.

The grant conditions and accompanying guidance have been revised to emphasise that the funding must be used to develop or add to the PE and sport activities that schools already offer and to ensure that improvements now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
